Republican Karen Handel won the congressional race in Georgia’s 6th district last night. During her speech, she called for a return to civil discourse in disagreement because “no one should feel their life threatened over their political beliefs and position.”
Handel had received encouraging texts from House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) every week preceding the election, so his shooting along with 3 others on June 14, was fresh in her mind.
On today’s “Chris Salcedo Show,” Chris Salcedo contrasted her message with that of Antifa. They have called for “all manner of physical violence” against anyone who supports President Donald Trump or capitalism.
Most recently Antifa has targeted Trump supporters at Evergreen State College in Washington, a pro-police prayer group in Portland, Oregon, a black supporter in Los Angeles, and have rioted and come after pro-American persons and free speech repeatedly in Berkeley, California.
Chris wondered why the media has not asked Democrat politicians to denounce Antifa when Republicans were constantly asked to denounce the Tea Party on the mere suspicion of violence.
