Emotional stories like this are powerful -- but they won't solve our health care problems

Greg Gutfeld, host of "The Five" on the Fox News Channel, reacted to Jimmy Kimmel's disclosure of his son's condition on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Monday night, or more specifically to reactions from those who favor Obamacare. Kimmel added a plug for the program in his monologue, and the perception of some is that disagreement with that plug is a desire for the late night host's son to die.

Today on "The Chris Salcedo Show," Chris Salcedo analyzed the social media swarm to agree with Kimmel's pro-Obamacare message. Former President Barack Obama tweeted enthusiastic praise; it was "liked" by almost half a million people.

Gutfeld said that when public figures loop in personal emotional stories with complicated political issues, we're being asked to ignore hard facts and figures. He said we need less emotional stories and more "thought processes."

To see more from Chris, visit his channel on TheBlaze and listen live to “The Chris Salcedo Show” weekdays 2–5 p.m. ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
