Alexander Hamilton is trendy right now, but did everyone’s current favorite founding father really leave us the best legacy?

Author Brion McClanahan shared Hamilton’s real history of handing down a “blueprint” for big government on “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson.” In his latest book, “How Alexander Hamilton Screwed Up America,” McClanahan explored Hamilton’s dangerous ideologies that gave presidents too much power and American citizens too little.

“When you look at all the problems that we have … we talk about big government, whether it’s Obamacare, oppressive taxation, all of these things can be traced right back to Alexander Hamilton,” McClanahan said.
