Ignorance of the law is no excuse when it comes to shark masks, apparently.
A ban on full-face coverings in Austria got a man in trouble for his shark mascot costume. He was hit with a fine for refusing to remove his shark head, saying he was just doing his job. The “Burqa ban” law making full-face veils illegal went into effect on Oct. 1.
“I wasn’t aware that the law reaches that far that it also affects mascots,” his boss said.
Keith shared the story as part of today’s headlines. Doc had an important question about being stopped by police while in a shark costume: “Do you stay in character the whole time, just trying to bite the officer?”
