Listen: Muslim-American FBI agent shares his incredible story of infiltrating a terror cell

Tamer Elnoury is the pseudonym of an unnamed Muslim-American FBI agent who joined an elite counterterrorism unit after 9/11. In his bestselling book “American Radical,” he wrote about infiltrating and helping to take apart a terror cell in North America.

On today’s show, the undercover agent talked about how people become radicalized, what it’s like to hide your identity to stay safe, and why he’s grateful for the opportunity to fight against people who are misrepresenting his faith.

“I had a lot to offer,” Elnoury, who immigrated from Egypt to become an American, said of his background. “I can hopefully shed some light and bridge that gap between that radical mindset.”
