President Donald Trump had a gracious and unifying response to the shooting in Virginia targeting GOP members of Congress Wednesday morning.
“Many lives would have been lost if not for the heroic actions of the two Capitol Police officers who took down the gunman despite sustaining gunshot wounds during a very, very, brutal assault,” Trump said during his address Wednesday. “Melania and I are grateful for their heroism and praying for the swift recovery of all victims.”
On Wednesday's "The Glenn Beck Radio Program," Glenn Beck, Pat Gray and Stu Burguiere listened to his remarks live as the president commended Capitol Police for acting quickly and expressed gratitude that those injured after a gunman opened fire are in recovery.
As a rule, shooters and mass murdered are “unstable” regardless of their motives, Glenn noted. “It’s not rational to go in and shoot someone,” he said.
Glenn reminded everyone that "we are all Americans” and now is not the time to be political.
“The Democrats that I know do not want this kind of stuff to go on, and the Republicans that I know do not want this stuff to go on,” he said.
