Listen: Woman who married herself explains why seeing someone else isn’t ‘cheating’

A woman in the U.K. who had a ceremony to celebrate “sologamy” and marry herself recently found a new relationship … with a man.

Sophie Tanner, who became part of the sologamy trend when she married herself two years ago, explained in an interview on British TV that her marriage was about “self-love.”

Did she cheat on herself? Will she have to divorce herself to be with another person? The jokes wrote themselves on today’s show as Doc, Brad and Jeffy looked at the odd story.

“It doesn’t mean you’re rejecting all other meaningful relationships in your life and becoming a nun forevermore,” Tanner explained her decision to marry herself. “It means you’re rejecting bad relationships.”

In the “This Morning” TV interview, she added that divorce was not an option.
