Reverend Tony Suarez, Executive VP of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, stops by The Morning Blaze to highlight the importance of comprehensive immigration reform in eliminating the need for sanctuary churches and cities. However, Doc Thompson warns that a wide-ranging bill could bog down the process and have unintended consequences.
"Some people want to put everything surrounding immigration together ... in this comprehensive bill because the people who are supporting that know that it's likely the only way that they'll get any sort of amnesty passed," Doc points out.
"I'm OK with a piecemeal approach," Tony responds. "Start at the borders. Secure the borders. Let the country feel that that has been taken care of, that there's a sense of security. But also realize it's more than just building a wall."
Listen live to The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson weekdays 6–9am ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
