Sanders backpedals on GOP health care bill claim: 'You’re using rhetoric that I didn’t use\

Will “thousands of people” die if the GOP repeals Obamacare? Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) was quizzed about his incendiary comments on Republicans and their health care plan Wednesday on “The View.”

“Thousands of people will die,” Sanders told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell in June, going on to say that “throwing 23 million people off of health insurance” will be a “disaster.” Earlier this month, Sanders compared repealing the Affordable Care Act to 9/11, claiming that “nine times more” people will die each year than the number of deaths in the 9/11 attacks.

On “The View” this week, Sanders attempted to make the excuse that he was simply citing research studies that supposedly prove that thousands of people will die after health care reform. Doc Thompson and the guys discussed the absurd clip on Thursday’s “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson.”

“You’re using rhetoric that I didn’t use,” Sanders protested on “The View,” despite many examples showing that he had said that “people will die” under Trumpcare.

To see more from Doc, visit his channel on TheBlaze and listen live to “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson” weekdays 6–9 a.m. ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
