VA hospital may have infected 600 veterans with serious diseases

Morgan Chalfant, of the Washington Free Beacon, joins Doc Thompson on The Morning Blaze to discuss the shocking story she recently broke on misconduct at VA hospitals. Specifically, Morgan discovered that a dental provider at a Tomah, Wisconsin VA hospital may have exposed over 600 veterans to serious diseases such as HIV and hepatitis through improper sanitary practices.

"This is just another report of misconduct or issues at the VA," Morgan explains. "This is one of the only ones I've seen where veterans have been actually infected with diseases, but I've been covering the VA extensively for a while and almost every week or every couple of weeks the VA Inspector General releases a report that shows poor care or insufficient care at VA facilities."

Doc reveals the importance of this pressing issue: "This is something I'm really passionate about, because first of all it's veterans and you've got to take care of the people who've taken care of you."

Listen live to The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson weekdays 6–9am ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
