Are Democrats holding the border wall hostage for the sake of 'Dreamers'?

President Donald Trump released a barrage of tweets condemning Democrats for withholding federal funds for the border wall. Democrats are using the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program as leverage over Trump's wall citing that the Democratic Party will not let up on their decision of withholding the funds unless a DACA fix is proposed and agreed upon.

Left-leaning politicos are disappointed with Democrats who dare entertain the idea of a border wall.

According to The Hill,  Credo political director Murshed Zaheed said in a statement that, "For months, Democratic leaders insisted they would use their leverage in year-end spending bill negotiations to protect Dreamers and reauthorize the Children’s Health Insurance Program, but at the end of the day they let us down and refused to even put up a fight."
