Glenn Beck shares an amusing anecdote about a recent medical procedure he underwent and its amusing aftereffects. Glenn reports that he was given propofol, an anesthetic known to induce amnesia and talkativeness, in preparation for the procedure. The drug, which was part of the sleep-inducing cocktail that killed pop legend Michael Jackson, is often referred to as a truth serum.
Glenn's wife learned about the drug's effects firsthand when Glenn awoke from anesthesia and made a few bizarre and perhaps overly-candid remarks to the nurses about his bodily functions and his home decor preferences.
"I had this procedure done at like 1:30 in the afternoon. 5 o'clock my wife comes into the bedroom," Glenn says. "She said, 'So, you awake?' And I said, 'Yeah.' 'Well, weren't we a little talkative.' And I'm like, 'What?' And she said, 'Truth serum. You had a few things that were interesting to hear.'"
