President Donald Trump’s speech in Poland on Thursday praised the strength of the Polish people and aimed to strengthen bonds with U.S. allies in Europe by pointing to common ties in the Western way of life that values freedom and faith.
“It was so nice and refreshing to hear him actually speak about the Western way of life in a positive way,” Glenn Beck said of the speech on Friday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.”
“A strong Poland is a blessing to the nations of Europe, and they know that,” Trump said, according to a transcript of the speech. “A strong Europe is a blessing to the West and to the world. One hundred years after the entry of American forces into World War I, the transatlantic bond between the United States and Europe is as strong as ever and maybe, in many ways, even stronger.”
Glenn and Pat Gray both commended Trump for his representation of the U.S. in Thursday’s speech. Trump compared the threat of radical terrorism to the days when communism was a menace to freedom worldwide and called on every nation that values freedom to join the fight against ISIS.
“During a historic gathering in Saudi Arabia, I called on the leaders of more than 50 Muslim nations to join together to drive out this menace which threatens all of humanity,” he said. “We cannot accept those who reject our values and who use hatred to justify violence against the innocent.”
