O’Reilly: Here’s why Comey was fired

Bill O’Reilly gave his take on why FBI director James Comey was fired in his first interview since leaving Fox News on Friday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.”

O’Reilly slammed the media for how the Comey story is being covered. “In American journalism right now, very few are seeking the truth,” O’Reilly asserted.

The bottom line is that “Donald Trump does not trust James Comey,” O’Reilly explained. He believes that Trump fired Comey because he doesn’t like that the former FBI director is unpredictable, because Comey wouldn’t aggressively pursue the leaks coming out of the administration, and because Comey didn’t respond to Russia controversies in the way Trump wanted him to.

The president is “crazed” about the reports that Russia influenced the 2016 election and believes that his enemies have used to it de-legitimize his presidency, O’Reilly declared. “So he’s very emotional and tightly wound about Russia.”
