This author's story of the Shroud of Turin and what he discovered was a journey of faith

The famous Shroud of Turin, believed by many to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ, remains controversial to this day. Some believe it is an elaborate medieval hoax, and some believe it records an image of Christ in death.

Author John Heubusch wrote the novel "The Shroud Conspiracy," inspired by this debate. He told Doc Thompson, filling in for Dana Loesch on "Dana," that as a man of faith, the story is very personal to him. He chose an atheist scientist as his protagonist, allowing the character to grow and develop as he uncovers evidence.
