Want to go to space? William Shatner is recruiting you for NASA’s latest mission
April 13, 2018
NASA is sending the Parker Solar Probe to the Sun this summer. The spacecraft will fly through the Sun’s atmosphere, closer than any has come before – and your name can be on it.
You can submit your name to be added to a memory card that will be aboard the Parker Solar Probe. Make sure you send your name by the April 27 deadline if you want to be part of the mission to the Sun.
“At closest approach, Parker Solar Probe hurtles around the Sun at approximately 430,000 mph (700,000 kph),” NASA described the mission. “That's fast enough to get from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C., in one second.”
