Was Putin complicit in Syria’s atrocities?

On today’s "The Glenn Beck Radio Program," Glenn Beck parsed some startling information on Russia that came from the U.S. government.

According to U.S. officials, Russia and Vladimir Putin knew that Assad had a stockpile of chemical weapons and planned to use them.

Glenn wondered why our government chose to make this announcement. He also analyzed the implications if Russia was "fully aware" that these chemical weapons existed and knew in advance that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad would use them to kill his own people.

“'Complicit’ doesn’t begin to cover it,” Beck said, going on to add:

“We just said that Putin knew about the chemical weapons, that Putin knew in advance that Assad was going to use them on his own people, then that they launched a drone to cover up any survivors, to cover up the evidence of the war crime. So Russia knew about a war crime, then committed another war crime to cover up for a war crime. That’s a pretty big deal.”
