Trump aide Stephen Miller berates Wolf Blitzer on immigration in very heated segment

Blitzer stopped the debate to calm down Miller

Stephen Miller, the top aide to President Donald Trump, berated CNN's Wolf Blitzer in a very heated debate where he defended the president's positions on immigration and especially funding for the border wall.

Blitzer kept asking Miller to explain why the president didn't pass his border wall funding in the two years that Republicans had control of both houses of the Congress.

"The House is voting as we speak on border security," Miller laughed, "the fight's only just beginning! As you know, first of all, when we're talking about success on border security, this president has made unprecedented achievements in that area."

"But right now, as we speak, we are rallying Republicans lawmakers to try to get a bill out of the House," he added.

"Here's the question," Blitzer continued further on in the debate. "Why didn't get the border wall done during his first two years in office, with a Republican majority in the House, and a Republican majority in the Senate?"

"Well, we actually have completed, or have underway a hundred miles," Miller claimed. "But the president has made clear that he's not interested in continuing to build the wall one mile, one stretch at a time. He wants to build the wall by getting the money now, just like the president was very clear about for the last year, leading up to this funding fight!"

"Let's cut through this," Miller continued, shouting over Blitzer, "right now as we speak, right now as we speak, there is a surge of illegal immigration heading towards our country that presents a national crisis now! Not a month from now, not a year from now, right now!"

"And this president took an oath," Miller exclaimed, "like every lawmaker in Congress, to defend the citizens of this country!"

"How many more innocent people have to die in pursuit of an open borders agenda?" Miller shouted over Blitzer trying to speak.

"Stephen, hold on a minute," Blitzer interrupted. "Calm down a minute, we don't have to yell, these are important policy discussions that the American people have a right to know."

The Republicans in the House of Representatives passed a bill containing $5 billion for border wall funding. The Democrats have promised it will not pass in the Senate, which would lead to a government shutdown.
