A fiscal conservative. Welfare checks nurture dependence, not independence, you say. Class warfare is a power grab technique of demagogues. Debt, especially government debt, is like downing sugar-coated spoonfuls of slavery. Federal spending needs to shrink, the national debt needs to disappear, and taxes need to be rolled back. More freedom comes with more risk, and once freedom is lost in exchange for less risk, it’s not clawing back up that slippery slope anytime soon.
