Benghazi: Obama Rewrites ‘Soldiers Creed’

Men who have sworn to never leave a fallen comrade behind were forced to do just that by the military leaders they trust their lives to.

The latest Benghazi Hearings have only reiterated what the liberal media has continued to ignore; that pretty much the entire Obama administration, including its 2016 prize girlfriend Hillary Rodham Clinton, knew without a shadow of a doubt that the storming of the U.S. mission in Benghazi on September 11th was a terror attack. Yet shockingly, besides the utter failure to provide security to the Benghazi embassy, despite repeated requests, White House officials (still unnamed I remind you 8 months later) chose to put forth their own narrative to protect the president from any fall out before the 2012 election. Their game plan: send U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice to blatantly lie to the American people on national television five times over. We have also learned that those lies angered the Libyan president to the point that the FBI was kept out of the scene for almost 3 weeks.

Soothsayers Infiltrate The Pentagon

But one of the most chilling revelations is that our Pentagon has been infiltrated by soothsayers - a collection of oracles so insightful, gifted, and all-knowing that they were able to predict the exact time of death of Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Ty Woods and Glen Doherty during the seven hour long attack. So sure in fact, they felt it in vain to even try and attempt any sort of rescue or combat operation although we now know there were multitudes of Special Forces operators chomping at the bit to go in and save their fellow Americans.  Instead, these highly skilled soldiers were told to stand down as Ambassador Stevens lay dying in a safe room waiting for rescue.

The Pentagon has unconscionably defended its actions, sending out their most trusted clairvoyants to speak to the press:

“There’s no evidence they could have arrived in Benghazi before the end of the attack,” - Col. David Lapan, Spokesman for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey.

“We continue to believe there was nothing this team could have done to assist during the second attack in Benghazi,”  - Principal Advisor to the Secretary of Defense George Little.

And they know this because?  Unless Lapan and Little are the true mediums they claim themselves to be; there is no way the military brass in charge of decision making that fateful night could have predicted how long and protracted the attack was going to be and how it would unfold.

In fact, we have learned, there were four Green Berets already in country, kitted up and ready to jump on a plane on its way to Benghazi.  They were told to stand down. And according to a Special Forces insider whistleblower interviewed this week and not at the hearings for obvious reasons - there was another SF unit just hours away in Europe. They were told to stand down.

So why do we have Special Forces units forward-deployed across the pond...hmmm let me think - of course - for crisis situations like this. From talking personally to soldiers who have served in this specific unit, I know that this is the type of job they’ve spent their careers training for. When they get on a C-130 to infiltrate and rescue, they rarely have any set information of what is happening on the ground. These soldiers expect to be briefed in the air, they expect a fluid and ever changing situation, and expect to create a plan of action while in flight and under stress.  This is why they are the best of the best, they have the capabilities to successfully deal with exactly these kinds of situations. All willing and ready to sacrifice their lives for any mission requiring them to defend Americans on foreign soil.

No Man Left Behind

These men follow a creed - I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy. Sadly, we now know from the hearings and whistleblower Deputy Ambassador Gregory Hicks, that is exactly what happened to Ambassador Stevens’ body as it was carried away by Libyan militants to a hospital controlled by those who carried out the attacks. Do you know how infuriated and hot that gets the Special Forces community? Men who have sworn to never leave a fallen comrade behind were forced to do just that by the military leaders they trust their lives to. To them it is the ultimate dishonoring of all they stand for. And it came from their own Commander in Chief.

It’s comforting for our soldiers to know that the creed they swear to uphold when they take an oath to serve this country, no longer carries any weight in the real world. Like most of President Obama’s rhetoric, nothing he and his administration say holds any weight. Like his vow to fundamentally transform America, he puts another notch on his bedpost with this one.

I do not believe the Obama administration really understands the full impact of what Benghazi has done to the morale of our men and women in uniform. Our soldiers now know that if saving an American life does not fit into the administration's political agenda, they can expect to be left dangling in the wind by their own military leadership, ironically the same military leadership who have sworn to the same creed of conduct. These military folk already know they will get that treatment from the left, but from their own? What a harsh and frightening lesson in reality.

Two of the victims, former Navy Seals Glen Doherty and Ty Woods disobeyed orders to stand down and they lost their lives willingly while trying to rescue the fellow Americans they were sworn to protect. Did that have to happen?  Maybe not.

And maybe even the Pentagon was right - those Special Forces soldiers standing by would have never made it to Benghazi in time, and the lives of Ambassador Stevens and his crew could not have been saved. But boy, wouldn’t it have been worth a try? I’ll bet their families think so.

WASHINGTON, DC - MAY 10: White House Press Secretary Jay Carney answers questions during a press briefing at the White House May 10, 2013 in Washington, DC. I know, to quote our new Secretary of State John Kerry, “I do not want to spend the next year talking about Benghazi.”  Or White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, “Benghazi happened a long time ago.” And lastly this gem from the first female President of the United States of America (cough, cough), “What difference does it make?

For men and women representing and serving our country overseas, risking their lives everyday to defend our way of life - I sure hope the American public thinks it’s still worth talking about. Because they are the only ones with the ability to put pressure on the liberal media to do their jobs and blow the lid off this Benghazi cover-up once and for all.  It’s now or never.
