Rapper already on probation charged with misdemeanor assault over a selfie at the airport

Rapper Robert Rihmeek Williams, or Meek Mill, was charged with misdemeanor assault Wednesday after one of his fans asked for a selfie.

The incident occurred at St. Louis Lambert International Airport in St. Louis. That's where police said an airport employee tried to take a selfie with the music artist, but Williams apparently didn't want any part of it, TMZ reported. An altercation between Williams and his fan then ensued.

The fan's cousin, who is also an airport employee, later got involved, KSDK-TV reported.

St. Louis airport police responded to the incident. Williams and two airport employees were charged with misdemeanor assault, KMOX-AM reported.

Williams and the two employees were not arrested. They were given court summonses for an undisclosed date, according to KTVI-TV reported.

Not long after the incident, Williams was photographed ordering pizza just before boarding his flight.

According to TMZ, Williams was already on probation because of a weapons and drug conviction.

Williams was in St. Louis for a show Tuesday night.
