Intruder breaks into a 91-year-old woman's home. He apologizes and flees after seeing her naked.

Forget being caught with your pants down: a 91-year-old Massachusetts woman was caught with her pants — and everything else — off, and luckily for her, it was the perfect antidote to a home invasion.

What happened?

Patricia Mulkeen of Yarmouth, Massachusetts, was roused from bed by her barking Wheaten Terrier early Tuesday morning. She said she thought the source of the dog's alarm was a raccoon outside.

Mulkeen did what some people in her circumstance might do: naked, she grabbed a flashlight, and ventured into the darkened house.

It wasn't a raccoon.

Mulkeen approached the dining room, and much to her surprise, the source of the noise was a human intruder.

According to Boston's WHDH-TV, Patricia said that the man, upon seeing her, said, "Sorry ma'am," before fleeing through the home through the basement.

WHDH reported that Patricia's husband, Jack, immediately called the police.

The suspect was apprehended by police shortly after the incident, near the Mulkeen home, and will be charged with breaking and entering as well as drug possession.

What did the Mulkeens say about the incident?

"I wasn’t frightened, I was just surprised," she told WHDH.

Jack also spoke to WHDH, where he laughed about the situation.

"My wife at 91 years old gets out of bed and she's stark naked. And here's this young guy in his 20s looking at a naked 91-year-old woman," he said. "That'd be enough to make him faint; it's a shock."
