Lindsey Graham blocks bill to make Mueller report public — here's what he wants in exchange for his support

Hillary Clinton won't like this

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) blocked a bill that would release the report from special counsel Robert Mueller to the public, and said that he would only support it with provisions for further investigations to be opened.

He spoke in Congress to detail his demands, and summed them up in a tweet from his official social media account.

"House-passed Mueller resolution should be amended to include appointment of a Special Counsel," he tweeted, and listed two investigations the special counsel would be assigned.

"Investigate alleged misconduct around the handling of the Clinton email investigation," he demanded, and "Investigate the abuse of the FISA warrant process against Mr. Carter Page."

He elaborated on the floor of Congress.

"We let Mueller look at all things Trump related to collusion and otherwise," Graham said. "Somebody needs to look at what happened on the other side and find out if the FBI and the DOJ had two systems, one supporting the person they wanted to win and one out to get the person they wanted to lose."

The resolution is a non-binding agreement and was passed overwhelmingly by the House of Representatives without one "no" vote.

Mueller is investigating election tampering by the Russian government and alleged claims of collusion with President Donald Trump's campaign.
