In a short Twitter thread Wednesday, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, gave an update on the work being done to give Christine Blasey Ford an opportunity to testify about her accusations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Grassley said the committee would try to hear from Ford "in any format she's comfortable [with]."
He also called out the Democrats for insisting on an unnecessary FBI investigation into Ford's claims and for refusing to cooperate.

The Democrats' insistence on an FBI investigation into an alleged crime that took place 36 years ago with only one eyewitness, who denies the crime took place, and no other corroborating evidence is ridiculous. The FBI knows it's ridiculous, which is why it declined to open an investigation in the first place when Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., handed over Ford's letter detailing the accusations to the FBI.
The Democrats are trying to stall for time while they smear Kavanaugh. Their despicable behavior should not be rewarded. It's time for the Senate to vote on Kavanaugh and dispense with the kangaroo court theatrics.
