In an interview that aired Monday afternoon, President Trump said, “Had Andrew Jackson been a little bit later, you wouldn't have had the Civil War.” Comments like this are a result of Trump not having constitutional conservatives in his ear, Mark Levin explained on his radio show Monday night.
While the leftist media is in a frenzy using the remarks as reason to discredit Trump’s intelligence, Levin, though equally as befuddled by the remarks, is taking a different approach.
“The president—he’s got liberal democrats around him, corporatists around him, nationalist populists around him, but he doesn’t have a constitutional conservative on the policy side,” Levin said. “He needs a real conservative who could talk about history and economics!”
“This is troubling,” Levin concluded.
And if the Trump team holds “deal-making” in such high esteem, why has he been unable to push policy objectives through thus far?
