With all the ongoing talk of how tax reform can help the American economy, there’s one part of the equation that isn’t being given a fair shake, says LevinTV host Mark Levin: international trade.
On his Monday evening radio program, Levin took on what he called the “hysterical attacks on market capitalism” from members of both major political parties. He also broke down how an enmity for free trade is not only contrary to our Republic’s history, but ignores the reality of the American economy.
In reality, commerce and trade were a major catalyst in the formation of the United States Constitution and a core component of our national wealth, Levin explained.
“The fact of the matter is that trade makes us a wealthier people,” he said, before turning to a recent blog post from the American Enterprise Institute’s Mark J. Perry that breaks down how important international trade is to each U.S. state’s economy.
