The Fiscal Cliff tax increase raised taxes on incomes of over $400,000, raise payroll taxes on 77% of Americans, while extending corporate welfare tax breaks for special interests. Raising taxes hurts economic growth and fuels out of control government spending. This increase was approved by the House 257 - 167 on Jan. 1, 2013, and the bill was signed by the president on Jan. 2, 2013.
