Change My Mind: Should the Senate confirm Amy Coney Barrett?

If not, why not?

Should President Trump's nominee to the Supreme Court be confirmed? Should Biden pack the court? Is 2020 over yet? All valid questions. In this installment of Change My Mind, Steven Crowder addressed current Senate hearings to confirm Trump's nominee to fill the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg's Supreme Court Justice seat.

While Senate confirmation hearings commenced on Capitol Hill, Crowder sat down with college students to see what they thought about Trump's nominee.

"Should the Senate confirm Amy Coney Barrett? If not, why not?" Crowder asked.

A female student expressed concern about appointing Barrett during an election year. But Crowder explained that a president nominated a Supreme Court justice to the judiciary during an election year 29-times and that not to confirm Barrett would go against precedent.

"This year has been a mess for so many reasons, I just don't know why can't wait a little longer," she began. "Don't you care about women's rights?"

'Of course, I do. But what does that have to do with confirming Amy Coney Barrett," Crowder replied.
