Moore's F-bomb tirade

Michael Moore, that wholesome teddy bear that brought us riveting blockbusters such as Fahrenheit 9/11 and SiCKO, has unleashed the full force of his anger on Rahm Emmanual, Obama's chief-of-staff.

In response to a new book by Obama's former "car czar," Steven Rattner, in which Rahm Emmanuel is quoted as saying "F*** the UAW" [the large auto workers union] during discussions about bailing out Detroit, Michael Moore blew a piston (pun intended). In a response on the Daily Beast entitled, "Happy F---ing Labor Day, Rahm!" Moore issued a profanity-laced tirade meant to shame the shameless chief-of-staff (WARNING: Very Graphic Language).

If you can get past the needless F-bombs, you can make out some assemblage of an argument: if it weren't for the union, we wouldn't have good jobs, good pay, or a middle class. Really?

While one cannot claim that unions  have done nothing good, or that all unions are corrupt, you certainly cannot make the claim that unions have done everything right, are always beneficial, and are responsible for everything good in this world (that, in a nutshell, is Moore's argument). Certainly Moore's list of "goods" is oversimplification.

I've assembled some articles that may help Moore (and readers) better understand the full effect of unions:  here, here, and here.
