A strange pattern of lights has appeared over both El Paso, TX and New York City recently. The official explanation in Texas is an air show exercise.* But some aren't convinced:
Last month a UFO researcher brought together former military personnel who gave first-hand accounts of alien activity.
“I believe — these gentlemen believe — that this planet is being visited by beings from another world, who for whatever reason have taken an interest in the nuclear arms race which began at the end of World War II,” said Robert Hastings.
UPDATE:
According to USA News week, the lights over Manhattan are being blamed on a group of middle schoolers who released some party balloons in Virginia.
The story also cites an FAA spokesperson who said that their radars did not pick up any activity corresponding to the lights.
