JAIPUR: Six people, including three forest officials, were injured in a leopard attack under Bonli police station in Sawai Madhopur district on Saturday.According to police sources, the condition of the DFO (social forestry) is said stable and out of danger.
Police said two villagers of Somwas village spotted a leopard at 7 am and while chasing the animal, it attacked them. When the news spread the people from the neighbouring villages went to have a glimpse of the animal. The police and forest officials also reached the spot.
However, the frightened animal, in its attempt to escape, injured a forest official. The officials were preparing to tranquillise the leopard. DFO (social forestry) R C Meena came close to the leopard and the wild animal attacked him causing serious injuries to his head.
