Now this is ironic.
During a pro-union rally in Denver at the State Capitol Tuesday, protesters broke out in a random chant of "USA!" As the video will show, the chant seems to be directed at Tea Party counter-protesters who had also gathered. But that's not the most interesting thing the video will show. While chanting "USA!" one of the protesters can be seen waving a Mexican flag. Watch below:
Having lived in Denver, I can tell you that there is a large Mexican-American population there. But it still seems odd to wave the flag of one country while chanting the name of another.
Readers may have also picked up on another piece of irony. Behind the protesters -- and the flag-waving lady -- is a man wearing a vest with a hammer and sickle on it:
This is the same rally that featured protesters heckling a black Tea Partier.
