Caught on Video: NYC Woman Given Award for Confronting Subway Flasher

"I'm escorting you to the police station!"

Inappropriate incidents on the New York City subway are not uncommon. But that didn't stop Nicola Briggs from taking a stand when a male rider flashed her last fall. The video of that confrontation became a YouTube sensation. Now Briggs been honored by the city.

The original video shows Briggs angrily, and justifiably, berating the man after she caught him exposing his genitals and trying to brush up against her. The fiery redhead is seen cursing him out and vowing to escort the man to the police right then and there.

“I’m not leaving your side, my plans are done for the night, I’m escorting you to the police station,” she said in the video. “Oh yes, oh fu** yes!”

And she did. According to CBS 2 in New York, Mario Valdivia, 50, was arrested, convicted, sentenced to four months in jail, and branded as a registered sex offender for life.
