President Obama's Organizing for America launched his 2012 campaign Monday morning with a shockingly underwhelming video announcement.
I can't help but notice that the first official video from President Obama's 2012 campaign makes no mention of anything he's actually accomplished in the last two years. Instead, we're just supposed to support Obama because he's Obama?
Herein lies the challenge for the Obama camp: how do we brag about policies the majority of the country opposes? From the looks of it, the campaign is planning to recycle many of the same hopenchange themes of the 2008 campaign and hope that images of Americans of various ethnic backgrounds will do the trick.
Also missing from the ad? Obama. Call me crazy, but shouldn't a campaign's announcement include at least one appearance from the candidate?
