Did the NY Times Say Obama's Economic Policies Failed?

Thanks to eagled-eyed Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit, the New York Times has been caught editing the honesty out of a story.

The Gray Lady's Economix Blog posted the following item yesterday;

At a time when the economy should be rebounding the latest GDP number for the first quarter of 2010 shows that the Obama economic policies have failed.

When 2011 began, Macroeconomic Advisers, a forecasting company, expected that America’s economic output would shape up to rise at a 4.1 percent annual rate in the first quarter, the highest pace in over a year.

Yes, the very first line of the item describes to the economic policies of the President as FAILED policies.  That honest evaluation tying the economy's lagging recovery to the policies of the President did not last long. For whatever reason, it was quickly given the HOPE and CHANGE treatment.

HOPE was added to the first paragraph, which was CHANGED to the following;
