The book will be mostly biographical...
Sources say that Rep. Michele Bachmann has closed a deal to publish a memoir this fall. According to The New York Times, Sentinel, a conservative imprint of Penguin Group USA, has purchased the book:
Ms. Bachmann, a Tea Party favorite who announced her presidential candidacy during the Republican debate on Monday, has been shopping her memoir for weeks, meeting with several New York publishers to discuss a possible deal. The book is tentatively expected to be released this fall. John Fund, a columnist for the Wall Street Journal, will assist with the writing of the book.
Sources familiar with the arrangement claim that the book will be mostly biographical, exposing readers to Bachmann's thoughts on economic and policy matters. The timing of the book's release is likely strategic, considering the congresswoman's recent announcement that she will be seeking the American presidency next year.
The publisher currently has no comment on the alleged deal.
