Celine Dion shuts down website of 'Ridiculous Pictures

Her heart may go on, but the entertaining website "Ridiculous Pictures of Celine Dion" will not. The superstar singer and her lawyers have effectively closed down a website that was dedicated to posting as many odd photos of Ms. Dion as possible.

I saw this post last week and immediately began grabbing copies of the photos. (Truth be told, I have visited the site before and enjoyed some of the photos. And I also own and listen to Ms. Dion's music. Internal conflict... it's everywhere.)

Celebrity. That term is a blessing and a curse to some. Celine Dion can certainly be considered a celebrity. She earns millions of dollars performing in public and is subject to the endless attention of fans and paparazzi. But can she control her image? Should Ms. Dion (or any "public person") be allowed to dictate who can post a photo of their image?
