Jonathan May-Bowles -- better known as the Rupert Murdoch pie-thrower -- had his jail time reduced Friday.
The oddball British comedian appealed his original sentence of six weeks jail time on the grounds that "slapstick and throwing pies dates back to the 1900s as a recognized form of protest," according to his lawyer. The appeal failed but the court did cut his sentence down to four weeks.
On top of the jail time he was originally required to serve for his assault on the media mogul, he was also ordered to pay a $900 fine.
