This is the Poop-Powered Motorcycle That Runs on...Human 'Biogas

Inspiration from The Wizard of Oz may have come into play when Toto was put onto a bike. But you're probably picturing the wrong image: Toto, in this case, is a toilet.

Meet the world's first -- and hopefully the last -- poop-powered motorcycle. The Japanese toilet manufacturer, Toto, created a tricycle motorcycle that runs on biogas (human waste), according to the blog Spoon Tamango (via Treehugger).

Yesterday, Toilet Bike Neo left Toto headquarters riding across Japan from Kyushu to Tokyo -- pitt stops not really necessary except to showcase the vehicle to gawkers. It also stopped to pay tribute to a derriere-shaped rock.

Running on biogas is not the only feature it boasts. Neo also has the capability to write messages in the air as it's moving and it plays music and can talk. Talking is apparently a feature of quite a few Toto toilets, many of which tell fortunes and weather forecasts.

It is unclear whether the ride of this bike will actually defecate into the toilet, providing their own biofuel, or if the bike will run on a tank of contained biogas on the back.

Toto created the bike as part of its Toto Green Challenge campaign, which set a goal of achieving a 50 percent reduction in CO2 emissions in bathrooms by 2017. If you are interested in learning more about Neo's inception, check out Toto's blog.
