Michael Moore Lashes Out at Reporter: 'You're Just Punk Media Is All You Are

"You lie. You lie to people."

Michael Moore is getting sick and tired of having to explain why he is not is actually part of the "1%" but is still championing the the cause of the "99%" despite his bank balance. In fact, he snapped at a local Denver reporter on Thursday who pressed him on the issue, placing his hand on the reporter's shoulder and delivering a stern warning.

MyFoxDC.com explains the exchange:

As Moore left the protest to go to a book signing event Thursday evening, a reporter from KCNC-TV asked if his rumored wealth made him part of the one percent the "Occupy" movement was protesting against.

"I do very well," he replied, "Because I do well, I want taxes raised on people who do well, including mine."

But when asked how he is helping the protesters with his $50 million, Moore said, "I don't have $50 million," before growing exasperated and telling the reporter, "You're just punk media is all you are. You lie. You lie to people. Stop lying to people. Stop lying."

You can watch it below:

So what about that $50 million "rumor?" A couple things. First, it's something The Blaze mentioned on Oct. 13Oct. 26, and Oct. 28. Second, it should be noted that we referenced the number as Moore's alleged worth, not the amount he currently has on hand. That's also how CelebrityNetWorth.com put it when it released its estimation of Moore's -- which would be the total value of his assets minus his liabilities.

Despite lashing out at the reporter, Moore admitted: "I do very well. Because I do well, I want taxes raised on people who do well, including mine."
