Meghan McCain calls Callista Gingrich 'a mistress

Say what you want, but Meghan McCain is doing her job as a political pundit. Which is to say, she said something somewhat rude and now I'm posting it here.

As a panelist on MSNBC's "Now with Alex Wagner," McCain took a shot at Newt Gingrich's wife Callista:

"[S]he was a third wife and a mistress and is coming off somewhat icy and [her] reputation of being somewhat controversial within their campaign is doing damage. Maybe just to politicos, but I think it's something that people, and especially values voters, will bring into the race."

Ouch.
