In an NBC special that aired Monday night in honor of Betty White's 90th birthday, President Obama cracked a birther joke during a pre-recorded bit from the Oval Office.

The segment featured a voiceover of Obama reading a letter he was composing to the elderly actress who has resurrected her career. That letter referenced White's "long form birth certificate:"

Dear Betty,

You look so fantastic and full of energy, I can’t believe you’re 90 years old. In fact, I don’t believe it.

That’s why I’m writing to ask if you will produce a copy of your long-form birth certificate.

Thanks, and happy birthday, no matter how old you are.

Obama is then shown placing a picture of White behind his desk and listening to the "Golden Girls" theme song through his headphones:
