Ann Coulter's 'Flavor Flav' joke at CPAC was funny

It's endlessly frustrating when someone refuses to admit a joke is funny, simply out of spite. People on the left don't like to acknowledge that Rush Limbaugh is pretty funny. Likewise, some on the right won't give any credit to Bill Maher as a comedian.

And here's the Huffington Post stupidly pretending that a joke Ann Coulter told at CPAC on Friday "fell flat":

Her Obama line came during a series of riffs about the president. She alleged that the mainstream media "is gaga" about him, and said that he would make "a lovely next-door neighbor, as long as you're not Chinese cause then he'd be constantly borrowing stuff" -- a joke that received loud applause.

Then, she dropped her pièce de résistance. "Voters with forty years of politically correct education are ecstatic to have the first black president. They just love the idea even if we did get Flavor Flav instead of Thomas Sowell." Unfortunately for her, the joke fell pretty flat; there seemed to be quite a few more groans that laughs. Coulter quickly moved on.

With the cleverness of a gimp fox, HuffPost included a clip of the joke from RightWingWatch that cut off the part where the audience actually laughs.

I was at CPAC. The joke was funny and didn't fall flat.

And for your amusement, here's the clip:
