There was no sign of forced entry into the SUV belonging to two of Mitt Romney's campaign aides, according to San Diego police, but iPads, handheld radios and computers were stolen from it last Friday.
The two aides had parked the car in a garage while they got dinner and when they got back their stuff was gone.
Political analyst Carl Luna anticipates two possible outcomes. One of them is probably Romney's worst bed-wetting nightmare:
"Best case scenario for the Romney camp… these things are going to be sold at a swap meet on the side," said Luna. "Worst case scenario… some of this stuff makes it onto the Internet and if somebody could spin it against them they might."
The obvious question: Who steals a handheld radio? And who buys one in the first place?
