Obama's Connections to the violent SDS: Marilyn Katz

The seventh in a series of posts on President Obama's connections to the violent, far-Left progressive Students for a Democratic Society -- a known terrorist group -- based on a March 2012 feature in The Blaze Magazine titled "Dangerous Birds of a Feather."

--------------------

MARILYN KATZ: The petite 60-something is a Chicago public-relations and political consultant today, well connected to the Chicago Democratic machine. In 1968, Katz headed security for the aforementioned 1968 DNC protests. FBI files credit her with obtaining welded clusters of sharpened nails for SDS attacks on police. Former Chicago Mayor Richard Daley Jr. signed a number of lucrative deals with her firm during his administration, including, ironically, a $5 million contract to do PR for the Chicago Police Department.

Katz claims credit for introducing Obama to Chicago’s “activist network,” and when the Chicago Sun-Times ran a story linking Ayers and Obama, it was “political strategist” Katz who was quoted, saying, “What Bill Ayers … did 40 years ago has nothing to do with Obama’s presidency.” (No mention of her own SDS history, though.) The Obama campaign website shows she bundled between $50,000 and $100,000 for him in 2008, and she’s already listed as a top bundler for Obama’s 2012 reelection effort.
