The never-ending Republican primary will finally end tonight

Get ready for the tears of joy that will pour down the faces of children all around the country when this long, long, long Republican presidential primary comes to a close tonight.

Willard Mitt Romney is about to do what his father didn’t and no one in his church ever has. With Tuesday’s Texas primary, he is poised to secure the 1,144 delegates required to clinch the Republican presidential nomination at the party’s August convention.

There were highs. There were lows. But we made it.
