Undecided voters disappearing, polls show

“Gallup’s daily tracking poll shows the number of undecided voters hovering between 6 percent and 8 percent —compared with 11 percent at this point in 2008. An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll put the percentage of undecided voters at 3 percent, down from 12 percent in late July 2008. A Pew survey found 5 percent didn’t know who they’d vote for, half of the number at this point in 2008.”

According to the polls cited above, undecided voters are disappearing as we get closer to November. No doubt the undecided/independent voter will play a crucial role in the upcoming presidential election as it continues to be as tight as ever. And with the rhetoric getting nastier, the both Mitt Romney's and President Obama's campaigns are showing their desperation to grab the few voters who haven’t made a decision yet.

If the amount of undecided voters is declining, you can bet the campaigns will continue to produce scathing attack ads to win that little percentage that could just make the difference.
