In good company: Rev. Jesse Jackson notes that Jesus also had 'moment of depression
August 17, 2012
In an interview with Politico, Rev. Jesse Jackson talked about his son Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.'s ongoing treatment for bipolar disorder. He demonstrated how his son is going through the same thing Jesus did.
“When Jesus says, ‘Why has thou forsaken me?’ The idea that [he has] done all the right things that [God] asked [him] to do … it was a moment of depression, it was a depression moment, ‘Why have you forsaken me?,’” Jackson said.
