Man Claims Parking Officer Gave Him a Ticket After Seeing Romney Bumper Sticker

"Oh, I'm definitely going to give you a ticket now"

A man in Atlanta, Georgia, is claiming he was targeted by a parking officer for the Mitt Romney bumper sticker displayed on the back of his car.

The man is not contesting that he was parked illegally and says he will pay the ticket, but says he was disturbed by the way the officer handled the situation.

Saying the woman seemed upset by the sticker, the man recalled her saying something along the lines of, "Oh, I'm definitely going to give you a ticket now."

"It sounded like she was almost insulted by the fact that I had a Mitt Romney sticker on the back of my car," he added.

Georgia Republican Party Chairman Sue Everhart commented: "I am just amazed that this happened in this city, and I know this is not what Mayor Reed would like to see his employees do. It reflects on the whole city."

Fox5 reporter Morse Diggs added: "What can you make of a statement like that?  Would it mean that if the parking officer had noticed that the vehicle had an Obama sticker on it, she would have used her discretion and not slapped a ticket on the vehicle?"
