Biden tells Republican voter: 'You'll vote for me in 2016

Campaigning on behalf of President Obama in Sarasota, Fla. today, Vice President Joe Biden joked about running for president in 2016.

Biden's remark came as he was on the phone with an Obama supporter's "Republican brother."

“Look, I’m not trying to talk you into voting for me, I just wanted to say hi to you," Biden said to the man over the phone. "And after its all over when your insurance rates go down, then you’ll vote for me in 2016. I’ll talk to you later.”

Biden spoke with the man after taking a photo with a woman during a stop at a local restaurant. She told Biden she wanted to send the photo to her "Republican brother" and Biden told her to get him on the phone so they could talk. They apparently spoke briefly about the new health care law.
